Summary

Hospitality Assistants work across the Conference, Banqueting & Events program with a significant focus on Hospitality and Operations. Hospitality Assistants support the Hospitality Managers in the delivery of all UVB events. They are responsible for the manual set up and preparations of all event spaces. They are also responsible for servicing and hospitality requirements of a wide variety of clients, including food service, ushering, hospitality, bar work, and break downs.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a conference venue who brings a positive, helpful attitude and a strong sense of dedication, flexibility and commitment. They are eager to learn new skills, work effectively as part of a team and communicate confidently with colleagues and customers. The role requires someone who performs well under pressure, meets deadlines, and understands the value of excellent internal and external customer relations. A keen eye for detail, high standards of appearance and punctuality, and a consistently reliable, enthusiastic approach are essential. The candidate must also be willing to work evenings, weekends and other unsociable hours.
