We have an excellent opportunity for a dietitian to join our friendly team of 19 dietitians and assistants working within the acute hospital setting at The Royal Oldham Hospital.

The Advanced Specialist dietitian post works alongside a fulltime band 6 and part time band 7 as part of the surgical dietetic team to provide the service to the 48 bedded colorectal unit. There are strong links to the wider MDT and you will contribute to the pre operative education of patients as part of the surgery school programme. The post will also undertake a specialist medical and surgical gastroenterology outpatient clinic. As a band 7 you will be involved in service development, have opportunities to be involved in quality improvement initiatives and research and exhibit strong team working skills.







Contribute to the inpatient dietetic service including the management of complex enteral and parenteral feeds

Undertake a weekly specialist dietitian led outpatient clinic

Attend ward rounds and MDT meetings as required

Attend meetings to represent the dietetic service at a strategic level

Contribute to the training of student dietitians, doctors and ward team

Provide professional support to the junior dietitians
