Luma Education Recruitment are seeking a caring, professional, and resilient SEN Support Worker (Personal Care) to provide dedicated support to pupils with complex special educational needs. This specialist role requires someone who can deliver high-quality personal care with dignity and sensitivity, while also supporting pupils' learning and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver personal care support in line with individual care plans, including intimate care, manual handling, and medication administration where required
• Support pupils with complex needs including physical disabilities, SEN, SEMH, ASD, and ADHD
• Assist with mobility, feeding, hygiene, and toileting needs with sensitivity and respect for pupil dignity
• Implement and monitor individual health care plans (IHCPs) and associated risk assessments
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents to deliver joined-up, person-centred support
• Provide 1:1 and small group academic and emotional support throughout the school day
• Maintain clear and accurate records of care routines, health observations, and any concerns
• Promote pupil independence, confidence, and inclusion at every opportunity

Requirements
• Proven experience providing personal care to children, young people, or adults with complex needs
• Confident delivering care with professionalism, dignity, and compassion
• Sound understanding of SEN, including physical disabilities, ASD, SEMH, and associated health needs
• Experience working within a school, care, or health setting
• Patient, calm, and adaptable — able to manage challenging situations with a positive approach
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Enhanced DBS (on Update Service) required prior to starting
