Duties as Maths Teacher:
- Deliver pre-planned Maths lessons confidently across Key Stage 3 and, where required, Key Stage 4
- Maintain a positive, safe, and well-managed classroom environment
- Follow school behaviour policies, routines, and safeguarding procedures
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities
- Support pupils’ understanding and progress in Maths
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure continuity of learning
- Engage pupils and keep them focused throughout the school day
- Provide clear feedback and handover notes for permanent staff
- Represent Class Act professionally while working as a Maths Teacher
Ideal Maths Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering Maths lessons
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- A flexible, reliable, and adaptable approach to supply teaching
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Willingness to work across different school environments
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- A positive and proactive approach as a Maths Teacher
