Senior Business Analyst

Location: Based in Nottingham office, with 1-2 days per week onsite, occasionally more depending on operational need

Salary: Day rate: £600-£650 depending on experience Inside IR35

Contract: 6 Months

We are preparing to recruit a Senior Business Analyst.

The role will be central to shaping requirements, improving processes, and supporting delivery across a complex stakeholder landscape, working closely with teams across Product, Operations, Sales, Technology, and external partners.

Key responsibilities:

  • Gather, define, and document business requirements in collaboration with the Project Manager and wider delivery teams

  • Translate high-level business objectives into clear functional and technical requirements

  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and system capabilities

  • Map end-to-end processes and customer journeys, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement and automation

  • Develop AS-IS and TO-BE process flows in collaboration with technical teams

  • Support reporting and data requirement definition across commercial, operational, and product teams

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex programme or transformation environments (energy, utilities, or tech preferred)

  • Strong capability in process mapping and documentation of end-to-end workflows

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across multiple business functions

  • Ability to operate credibly in front of senior stakeholders and translate complex needs into clear delivery outputs

  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on clarity, structure, and outcomes
