Larimar Ward is a 15 Bedded Female Acute Ward based at Ardenleigh Hospital in Erdington ** Please note we are not apart of the Secure & Complex Care Service**
The successful candidates will be joining an established and hard working team who have a wealth of experience to learn from as well as gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Occupational Therapy Acute and Urgent Care Pathway.
Furthermore, successful candidates will have direct clinical supervision from a nominated Lead Occupational Therapist who will help to identify development needs that can help enhance skills and knowledge whilst receiving on-going support/supervision on a regular basis.
Encouragement to develop is promoted within the Larimar Team so by recognising individuals strengths and career aspirations, we can offer training opportunities' to meet these needs.
❖To work as a core member of the multidisciplinary ward based team.
❖To work flexibly, where appropriate to provide OT cover in the absence of the Occupational Therapy across the Acute & Urgent Care Service
❖To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the service, holding responsibility for defined projects.
❖To provide leadership and line management duties to the band 5 OT and OT Assistant/s providing guidance, supervision and appraisal, as well a programme of In-patient based interventions.
❖To manage a defined caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in a range of settings and facilitating discharges.
❖To maintain multidisciplinary clinical records.
