We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join a caring residential setting, delivering high quality nursing support and person centred care.
Position: Registered Nurse
Salary: £21.00 per hour
Location: Houghton-Le-Spring, County Durham
Hours: 44 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, Full time
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Registered Nurse to join a supportive care home environment where high standards of clinical care and resident wellbeing are at the heart of everything.
You will play a key role in leading nursing practice within the home, ensuring residents receive safe, effective and compassionate care in line with current best practice, legislation and professional standards.
Working closely with the Home Manager and wider care team, you will support the delivery of high quality nursing services, supervise care staff and contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive culture throughout the home.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high quality nursing care to residents
- Administering and managing medication safely and effectively
- Supporting and evaluating person centred care plans
- Supervising and supporting care and nursing staff
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
- Promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing for residents
- Supporting quality assurance and compliance standards
- Assisting with staff induction, training and development
- Encouraging best practice and continuous improvement across the service
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current NMC registration
- Previous experience working within a care home or similar setting
- Strong clinical knowledge and nursing skills
- Experience with catheterisation, syringe drivers, wound care and end of life care
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A compassionate and person centred approach
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A commitment to maintaining high professional standards
