Our client, a highly respected primary school in Hinckley, Leicestershire, is seeking an exceptional and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent position with a competitive salary of £220 per day, negotiable depending on experience.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs and abilities. You will work closely with the school's leadership team, support staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans that cater to the unique requirements of each student in your care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, multi-sensory lessons that challenge and support students with special educational needs, ensuring they make measurable progress towards their learning goals.
- Collaborate with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and other professionals to identify students' specific learning needs and implement effective teaching strategies to address them.
- Maintain detailed records of students' progress, behaviour, and attendance, providing regular updates to parents, carers, and the school's leadership team.
- Contribute to the development and review of the school's Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) policy, ensuring it remains up-to-date and aligned with current legislation and best practices.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities, such as training sessions and workshops, to continuously enhance your knowledge and skills in the field of special education.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that celebrates diversity and encourages students to reach their full potential.
- Liaise with external agencies, such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the school's leadership team, in line with the responsibilities of a Special Education Teacher.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK
- Significant experience (at least 2 years) working as a Special Education Teacher in a primary school setting
- A thorough understanding of the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice and relevant legislation
- A proven track record of effectively planning and delivering engaging, multi-sensory lessons that meet the needs of students with diverse learning requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Proficient in using a range of assessment tools and data analysis to monitor student progress and inform teaching and learning strategies
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with best practices in special education
- A competitive salary of £220 per day, negotiable depending on experience (Temp to Perm opportunity paid to scale)
