Summary


This is an intersting job for a healthcare support worker to provide direct, compassionate support to patients receiving care related to gynaecology, early pregnancy, and women‑specific medical needs. The core of the role is to support the registered nurse and/or consultants, and to maintain dignity and compasion for every woman receiving treatment.

You must be able to commit to our Full Time HCSW Academy for the first 3 weeks of your employment with our Trust. Please note our HCSW Academy takes place at our training site in Holgate, York. We are unable to provide travel options or reimburse travel costs for attendance at this.

Direct patient care - with observations, urinalysis and assisting mobility where required.

Supporting clinical procedures - preparing rooms and equipment, assisting the nurse and/or consultant during examinations such as EPAU, Colposcopy and Hysteroscopy.

Maintaining a safe environment - Keeping clinical areas clean, restocking supplies, and following infection‑control procedures.

Compassionate care - supporting women undergoing gynaecoloigal procedures, ensuring dignity, privacy and emotional reassurance.

Team collaboration - Working closely with nurses, doctors, midwives, and allied health professionals to deliver seamless care.
