Job description
Role Description
This is a Part-time role for an in house Steelwork Estimator based in our Letchworth based factory. The Steelwork Estimator will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for structural and architectural metalwork projects, analyzing project requirements, and liaising with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather accurate pricing details. Additional tasks include interpreting technical drawings, preparing bid proposals, and ensuring all estimates align with project goals and timelines.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of steelworks, structural frameworks, and architectural metalwork
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
Experience in cost estimation, bid preparation, and vendor negotiations
Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
Proficiency in relevant software tools such as CAD, estimation, and project management software
Ability to work collaboratively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
Experience in a similar role within the steel or construction industry is highly advantageous
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
