About Net Zero Careers
Net Zero Careers supports roles that ensure high-quality retrofit delivery and
compliance across residential projects. Customer-facing roles like this are
vital to ensure residents are informed, safe, and satisfied while supporting the
UK's net-zero goals.
Role Overview
We are a fast-growing organisation operating in the UK energy efficiency and
retrofit sector. Our mission is to improve the energy performance of homes
through high-quality installation of insulation and renewable technologies.
Working across residential properties, we support government-backed retrofit
programmes and private homeowners seeking to reduce energy bills and carbon
emissions. An Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Installer is a renewable heating
professional responsible for delivering high‑quality, energy‑efficient heating
solutions within residential properties. The role centres on installing heat
pump systems, associated components and ensuring systems meet regulatory and
manufacturer requirements. As the UK transitions to low‑carbon heating, this
role is increasingly vital in helping homeowners reduce energy use, cut carbon
emissions, and comply with the latest sustainability standards.
Your work involves the full installation process-from preparing pipework and
cylinders through to commissioning and testing-ensuring each system operates
safely, efficiently, and in accordance with MCS accreditation requirements. Heat
pump installers also support householders by providing clear operational
guidance and helping them understand the benefits and correct usage of their new
system.
