Are you an experienced and compassionate Cognitive – Behavioural therapist who is passionate about supporting women, their babies and families? Are you looking to gain specialist skills and experience in a supportive MDT setting, in a CQC ‘Outstanding’ service? We have a rare opportunity for a qualified CBT therapist to join our Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Team (SPCMHT) team covering Pennine Lancashire.

The Lancashire and South Cumbria SPCMHT Perinatal Service has a reputation for providing kind and expert care to women, their families and babies during the perinatal period (conception up to two years). We are a multidisciplinary service and work closely with partner agencies, including Maternity Services, Health Visiting, Adult Mental Health Services and the Reproductive Trauma Service.

Postholder must be able to meet the travel requirements for the role.

You will be welcomed into an established psychology and therapy team, join a friendly and supportive MDT and will have good support from psychology and therapy peers across the team and service.

We understand you might not have worked in perinatal mental health before, but we would encourage applications from therapists who have a special interest in this client group and who feel they can work creatively and flexibly.

LSCFT values diversity and inclusion, recognising that talent from varied backgrounds creates a flexible, creative, and effective workforce. We actively challenge discrimination and welcome applications from all, regardless of age, disability (including those with experience of accessing or caring for someone who has accessed mental health or learning disability services), ethnicity, gender, religion, belief, or sexual orientation.

Our aim is to reflect the communities we serve, so we particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups. If you’d like to discuss your application, please ask.

We also welcome individuals with lived experience relevant to the role or service area, as your insight brings authenticity to our services.

LSCFT support flexible working, we believe that a positive work/life balance benefits NHS employees through improved health and wellbeing. We would consider working patterns such as term time, part time, compressed hours and flexi-time.

The wellbeing of our people is at the heart of everything we do. We offer a wide range of resources, tools and support to help you thrive both in and out of work.
