What skills and experience we're looking for
The Headteacher, Governors and children at Thorn Grove Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and passionate Year 1 teacher to join our successful, friendly and inclusive school. We are an excellent school committed to the highest quality education and professional development where we nurture our whole school community to be curious, respectful, aspirational individuals.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a caring nature with the ability to inspire a love of learning through the use of Narrative Immersion
• Has enthusiasm, drive and the ability to be engaging
• Has a ‘we can’ approach to inclusion with a determination to remove barriers to learning
• Has excellent organisational and classroom management skills
• Will set high expectations and deliver high standards for all children through adaptive teaching practices
• Will consult and communicate effectively with all members of the school community
• Will maintain and promote the values and ethos of the school

Thorn Grove Primary School is a high achieving, one form entry primary school in Cheadle Hulme, recognised for its inclusive ethos and practise. It has a school nursery on site and a specialist provision for deaf pupils run by the Hearing and Vision Specialist Service. We are currently in a consultation process regarding joining The Laurus Trust and are excited about the significant professional development, collaboration and career opportunities that this partnership will bring for our staff and wider school community.
