Nursery Assistant – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for Nursery Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different early years settings. You will be supporting young children in Great Yarmouth and the surrounding areas, helping to create safe, nurturing, and engaging environments where children can learn, play, and develop.
Duties as Nursery Assistant:
- Support the delivery of age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Assist with the care, supervision, and well-being of children aged 0–5
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and early learning development
- Assist with observations and contribute to learning records when required
- Support children with personal care routines when appropriate
- Work collaboratively with early years practitioners and nursery staff
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote children’s welfare at all times
Ideal Nursery Assistant:
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Understanding of the EYFS framework and early child development
- Caring, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues
- Adaptable across different settings and routines
- Professional, reliable, and enthusiastic
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
