We're recruiting a skilled Fabricator Welder to join a well-established business in Derby. This is a hands-on role producing bespoke metalwork and architectural components, involving both fabrication from scratch and high-quality welding.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate metal structures and components from scratch
- Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
- Read and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Complete multi-pass and positional welding on mild steel up to 25mm
- Use fabrication equipment including guillotines, press brakes, rollers and grinders
- Measure, cut and assemble materials to tight tolerances
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality and compliance
- Occasional working away may be required
- Strong fabrication background, ideally within a heavy engineering environment
- Proven MIG and TIG welding experience
- Confident working from detailed drawings
- Comfortable working with a range of metals and fabrication methods
- Competitive hourly rate up to £16.50 DOE
- Day shifts with overtime available (paid at premium rates)
