What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an inspirational and enthusiastic Upper KS2 class teacher to join our friendly and caring team at Scarcliffe Primary School.
The vacancy is for an experienced KS2 teacher and will involve teaching in our mixed Y5/6 class on Thursdays and Fridays.
We are looking for a teacher who:
• Has strong knowledge of the Upper KS2 curriculum, including effective preparation for KS2 statutory assessment
• Understands the importance of secure foundational knowledge and how this underpins future learning
• Demonstrates high expectations for all pupils, including those with SEND and disadvantaged backgrounds
• Uses effective, consistent behaviour strategies to promote excellent attitudes to learning
• Can adapt teaching responsively, using assessment to secure strong progress of all learners
• Is reflective, collaborative and committed to ongoing professional development
• Can take responsibility for an agreed curriculum area throughout the school
