Summary
Apex Resources are seeking a skilled Reach Forklift Operator in Paisley. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within our warehouse environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient handling of goods and maintaining a well-organised warehouse.
Valid Reach license or counterbalance license and 1 year + experience operating is required for this position
Duties
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload materials from delivery lorries.
Move products to designated areas within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
Perform regular checks on forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
Assist with inventory management by accurately tracking materials using our Warehouse Management System.
Conduct heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.
Participate in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all goods are accounted for and properly stored.
Skills
Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Strong skills in loading and unloading and heavy lifting techniques.
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems for tracking inventory.
Basic maths skills for accurate counting and inventory management.
Knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance procedures is advantageous.
Solid understanding of materials handling principles.
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
Hours of work Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm paid at £13.10 per hour
Please note that all applicants must be able to provide full right to work documentation, evidence of a national insurance number from an official letter from HMRC and have an active bank account in their own name for processing wages. This is in line with our ISO accreditation and GLA compliance standards.
