Participating in the writing of protocols, guidelines, patient information and documentation required for service review and development. Supporting the clinical nurse manager in identifying and assessing complex clinical and non-clinical issues. A supportive resource for staff, advising on national, local and Trust policy and procedures/guidelines, ensuring that clinical governance is embedded in practice. Support patients, carers and staff during difficult situations arising in the clinical area, e.g., breaking bad news or following an unexpected event. Supporting the team with community events to improve uptake and heath inequalities. Providing Very Brief smoking cessation advice when necessary The service is open 5 days per week, and this position will require working a range of shifts between Mon and Friday, with the working hours ranging from 0900 starts to 2000 finishes. The shift pattern will vary on a month-by-month basis. This is an office based post and you will need to be a car driver with access to a vehicle in order to attend occasional clinic face to face assessments across Coventry & Warwickshire.
