The Department for Transport’s Property Portfolio and Advisory team delivers complex, high‑profile property projects across Government, supporting major infrastructure programmes such as HS2 and Lower Thames Crossing. As a Commercial Senior Surveyor, you will provide professional property advice across acquisitions, disposals, development and estate management, working in a matrix‑managed environment. You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver commercial insight and support Ministers, major projects and cross‑government initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
- Supporting senior colleagues in delivering the Department’s property strategy in line with wider Government policy.
- Taking a lead on specific property related issues such as development appraisals, statutory blight, property investment models and/or licences.
- Delivering accurate and timely property advice, professionalism and guidance in all property related matters including disposals, acquisitions, property management and development.
- Sharing technical expertise to improve knowledge, capability and competence.
