This role is ideal for a Drama Teacher seeking a focused teaching opportunity with a clear end date and potential extension.
Duties as Drama Teacher:
- Deliver engaging Drama lessons across secondary year groups
- Follow existing schemes of work and lesson resources
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Support pupils’ confidence, creativity, and performance skills
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school expectations
- Encourage active participation and collaboration in Drama lessons
- Work collaboratively with department staff and cover managers
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Drama Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Drama at secondary level
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Enthusiastic, creative, and engaging teaching style
- Ability to adapt quickly to an established curriculum
- Reliable and professional approach to short-term teaching commitments
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
