NextGen Teachers are working with a specialist independent provision located in Nottingham, set within a calm and accessible semi-urban environment that supports a therapeutic and nurturing approach to learning. The school caters for pupils aged 7-18 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as additional learning needs including ASD, ADHD and anxiety-related conditions.

The school is part of the Polaris community and is known for its small class sizes, highly individualised learning plans, and strong emphasis on emotional regulation and wellbeing alongside academic progress.

The setting itself offers a safe, structured and spacious learning environment, designed to help pupils re-engage with education and build confidence. With a strong focus on outdoor learning opportunities, sensory support and vocational pathways, the school provides a genuinely holistic approach to education.
- Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and up to GCSE Level in KS4
- Plan and adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs
- Support pupils with SEMH needs in a calm, structured classroom environment
- Contribute to a trauma-informed, nurturing school ethos
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral staff
- Full-time, permanent role from September 2026
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Science (mainstream or specialist settings)
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- Passion for inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
- ECTs and experienced teachers welcome to apply
