Crynodeb
The post holder will work as part of a Mental Health Support Team (MHST), delivering low-intensity, evidence-based, brief psychological interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, in line with CYP IAPT principles and the professional standards of the BABCP and the British Psychological Society (BPS). The post holder will undertake structured assessments, risk screening, formulation, and collaborative goal setting, using routine outcome measures to inform intervention planning and review. Interventions will be delivered in accordance with approved Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner treatment protocols and competency frameworks, including guided self-help, psychoeducation, behavioural activation, exposure-based approaches, and anxiety and mood management strategies. Delivery may be individual or group-based within education or community settings, under appropriate clinical supervision. The post holder will work in partnership with families, schools, and partner agencies to promote engagement and effective intervention delivery, while remaining within the defined CWP clinical remit and professional boundaries. The role requires adherence to professional, ethical, safeguarding, and clinical governance standards, alongside continuous professional development expectations. The post holder will maintain accurate and timely clinical records, contribute to routine outcome monitoring, and participate in service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement activity.
