The role in a nutshellAs a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in transforming the lives of the children you support. You will help pupils overcome learning and developmental challenges, making a meaningful contribution to the quality of education they receive. The responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant can be varied and may differ from school to school. At this Academy, the key duties include: Assisting with teaching in class, working alongside and under the direction of the class teacher.Supporting children with additional or special educational needs.Leading lessons under the teacher’s guidance.Delivering targeted intervention sessions to small groups of pupils.Providing one-to-one support to help individual pupils access their educational provision.This role offers variety and the opportunity to face something new each day. You may encounter different topics and challenges, but the rewards are significant. Supporting pupils to reach their potential, grow in confidence, and achieve their goals brings immense satisfaction.
The candidate The ideal candidate will hold, or be willing to work towards, a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification and demonstrate a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
