Summary

Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Operative
Evesham (HMP Long Lartin)
£27,426 per year
⏰ Full time, Monday to Friday (08:00 – 17:00) – early finish every Friday

About the role
We are looking for a Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team at HMP Long Lartin. This is a hands-on outdoor role where you’ll help maintain green spaces and keep the site clean, tidy and safe.

This is a stable, full-time job with regular hours and a great work-life balance.

Duties include:
Grass cutting, hedge trimming and general gardening
Planting, pruning and weed control
Litter picking and general site upkeep
Maintaining outdoor areas including sports pitches
Using tools and machinery safely
Basic maintenance tasks such as painting and drainage work

What we’re looking for:
Experience in gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work outdoors in all weather
Basic knowledge of health & safety
Tickets (e.g. weed spraying, chainsaw) are helpful but not essential
