Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
- Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
- Diagnose faults accurately and complete required repairs efficiently
- Perform comprehensive vehicle health checks and identify upselling opportunities as a Vehicle Technician
- Communicate effectively with workshop control regarding job progress
- Ensure a first-time fix rate to maximise customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Conduct MOT testing, if qualified
- Keep up to date with manufacturer guidelines and technical updates
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
- Proven experience within a busy workshop environment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- MOT qualification is desirable but not essential
