About the Employer:
My name is Chris, I have Cerebral Palsy’s as a long term condition, and I use a wheelchair on a daily basis to get around. I have great sense of humour and love talking about life in general. I enjoy Classical music and love to visit the symphony hall, to listen to my favourite classical music at least once or twice month. I am happy when my home is tidy and clean, and my items placed back in the right place. I also love to socialise shop and enjoy eating out. I am looking for a Personal Assistant who has experience in caring for someone with a long term disability. Experience of using a hoist will be of advantage. My duties included personal care preparation of food general house keeping ,assisting out of bed and into bed morning and evening. I also need assistance’s with going out for example to the symphony hall concerts and medical appointment. Any further duties can be discussed at the interview. The person I am looking for should also have a sense of humour, love to socialise and also be trust worthy.

About the Role
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
• Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors.
• Support and/or prompt the individual to access sporting and leisure activities.
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Transport Requirement
Car driver preferred but not essential.
Required Skills:
• Be honest, reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.
• Be patient, supportive and caring.
• Previous caring experience is not essential, however you should have a genuine interest in supporting people with a disability/illness to achieve their goals.
When you are Required:
Hours per week: 16.5 Hours
Specific days/times required:
• Monday,
• Tuesday,
• Wednesday,
• Thursday,
• Friday,
Dates and times are flexible and can be discussed at interview.
