General Kitchen Assistant
22.5 hours per week, term time only

The Governors of Porthcawl Comprehensive School wish to appoint a General Kitchen Assistant to join a successful and established catering team.
The post holder will be required to assist in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals, whilst providing a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff. The post holder would be required to lay out dining tables and chairs and operate an electronic till. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required for this post, training will be provided if necessary.
The working hours will be Monday to Friday 9.45am – 2.45pm, term time only.
Principal Responsibilities and Activities: • Food preparation and presentation. • Service of meals to customers. • To assist in providing a safe, clean environment to pupils and staff. • Maintain kitchen hygiene and Health & Safety standards in accordance within the quality assurance standards. • Receipt and storage of supplies and deliveries. • Undertake such other duties as required by the Catering Manager or Assistant Cook.
