Dumarey Flybrid is based at the Silverstone Circuit and is part of the Dumarey-Group, a family owned Tier 1 manufacturer and integrator of full driveline solutions.

This role is based at our modern facility in Silverstone, Northamptonshire, UK.

Role Overview

The Build Technician is responsible for the assembly and testing of Dumarey Products involving working with electrical, mechanical, and control system components while following strict safety and quality standards.
This position supports manufacturing operations for battery energy storage products used in grid-scale applications.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble sub-systems according to engineering drawings, SOPs, and work instructions.
Install and connect electrical wiring, busbars, connectors, cooling systems, and mechanical components.
Perform torquing, crimping, cable routing.
Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections during and after assembly.
Support commissioning and validation activities where required.
Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
Follow all EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) procedures, including HV isolation and lockout/tagout processes.
Work collaboratively with Manufacturing engineering, quality, and production supervision to improve build efficiency and product quality.
Maintain a clean and organised work area using 5S principles.


Required Skills & Experience
Experience in electrical or mechanical assembly within manufacturing or engineering environments.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Competent using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
Knowledge of battery systems, ESS products, or EV technology is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Adhere to company policies and procedures including strict control on phone use



Preferred Qualifications

NVQ / City & Guilds / BTEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or Engineering discipline.
IPC/WHMA wiring or harness certification (desirable).

Experience in the following is desirable but not essential:

Battery pack assembly
EV manufacturing
Renewable energy systems
Electrical panel build
Automotive or aerospace production
High Voltage Awareness or HV Authorised Person training an advantage


Health & Safety Requirements

Follow PPE requirements at all times.
Work safely around live and high-voltage equipment.
Adhere to company risk assessments and safe systems of work.
Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.
