We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced valuer to join our busy York office. We are seeking someone who is motivated,
client-focused, and enjoys working with a varied and interesting property portfolio.




As part of the team, you will play an active role in business generation, supporting a wide range of sales activities and helping
to grow the office through strong client relationships, networking, and local market engagement. You will take the lead on market
appraisals, applicant management, sales negotiation, and initiatives that enhance the Carter Jonas brand across the local property
market.




The successful candidate will join a team of 9 within our busy Sales and Lettings office in York, working alongside an experienced
rural team. The York team is approachable, effective, and ambitious and is committed to providing the best customer experience.

Main tasks :




* Generate and carry out market appraisals, developing new business and handling own portfolio of clients to achieve or exceed
agreed targets (working in conjunction with other CJ offices on joint instructions as required)
* Liaise with prospective purchasers, vendors and viewing staff, arrange viewing appointments, market appraisals, and negotiate
offers
* Pro-active applicant management and communication, maximising the use of databases such as Reapit to ensure all applicant
details are up to date and a successful source of potential sale instructions
* Support the sales progression process from offer acceptance through to completion, working alongside the wider team to ensure
clients, purchasers and solicitors are kept informed and matters progress as smoothly as possible
* Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with vendors and applicants
* Provide feedback to clients throughout the sales process
* Contribute to the smooth daily running and overall profitability of the sales department
* Uphold and promote the reputation of Carter Jonas by delivering consistently high levels of customer service




What will it take to be successful




We are seeking someone with proven valuation experience, excellent communication, organisational and multitasking skills. You’ll
be a strong team player, with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Candidates should have proven valuation
experience and a strong knowledge of the local residential market.
