Driver / Yard Operative - Ilkeston.

Join a Busy, Friendly Tool Hire Depot Team.

Location: Manners Industrial Estate, Ilkeston
Full-Time | Permanent
Starting Wage £12.75 per hour - 7.30am - 5pm Mon - Fri.

We’re looking for a dependable and motivated Driver / Yard Operative to join our tool hire depot. If you enjoy being active, working with people, and no two days being the same, this could be the perfect role for you. This is a hands-on position combining deliveries, customer service, and yard duties within a fast-paced hire environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Delivering and collecting tools and equipment safely and professionally
Loading and unloading vehicles
Preparing, cleaning, and checking equipment ready for hire
Keeping the yard and depot organised and safe
Assisting customers and supporting the depot team
Carrying out basic equipment checks and maintenance
What We’re Looking For

Full UK driving licence
Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
Ability to carryout heavy lifting tasks
Good customer service skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.

Previous experience in tool hire, builder's merchants, plant hire, driving, or yard work is beneficial but not essential — full training can be provided for the right person.
