Duties as Humanities Teacher (ECT):
- Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in line with the national curriculum
- Teach subjects such as history, geography, and related humanities disciplines according to specialism
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and good behaviour
- Assess pupil progress and adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
- Maintain clear classroom routines and manage behaviour effectively
- Work collaboratively with department staff and follow school policies and procedures
- Contribute to pupils’ academic progress and wider personal development
Ideal Humanities Teacher (ECT):
- Qualified Teacher Status or working towards QTS as an Early Career Teacher
- A degree or strong subject knowledge in a Humanities specialism
- Passion for teaching Humanities and inspiring young people
- Good organisational skills and a proactive, reflective approach to teaching
- Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
