Maths Teacher (ECT) – Full-time, long-term supply starting September 2026
These long-term supply opportunities are ideal for Early Career Teachers who are looking to gain valuable experience and build confidence across secondary school settings. This Maths Teacher role is based across schools in Norfolk and the surrounding areas and is well-suited to ECTs who want consistent classroom experience, strong support, and the opportunity to develop their practice while teaching Mathematics.
Duties as Maths Teacher (ECT):
- Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons in line with the curriculum
- Teach a range of mathematical topics across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain high expectations
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress where required
- Work collaboratively with department colleagues and support staff
- Contribute positively to wider school life during the long-term placement
Ideal Maths Teacher (ECT):
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to qualify as an ECT by September 2026
- Early Career Teacher seeking long-term supply experience
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Confident, reflective, and eager to develop classroom practice
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Adaptable across different school environments
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
