Direct Payment Personal Assistant RequiredI am looking to recruit a Direct Payment Personal Assistant for my 13 year old sonHours wanted:6 hours every week, all year round. Flexibility with how these hours can be used.More about the young person:This person has been awarded 6 direct payment hours per week to support him with:
- Accessing activities of interest
- Developing his understanding of how to keep himself safe
- Learning to regulate his emotions in public settings
- Building his self-care skills
He can be happy, affectionate and engaging; however, due to his complex needs, his mood and behaviour can change, and he may require support during these times.
This person has additional needs including epilepsy, and due to delayed speech, he can sometimes be difficult to understand. Knowledge of epilepsy would be beneficial, although training can be provided.
Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children or young people with disabilities
- Be patient, understanding and adaptable
- Be confident supporting a child with varying communication needs
Location:
Weston-super-Mare area
Hourly rate:
£16.47 for self-employed PA's
£12.55 for employed PA's
