Start Date: 7th September 2026, £24,380 (actual gross salary)Life Skills Hub has an amazing opportunity for the role of Keyworker ( Level 2) to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team! You will have the opportunity to work as part of a great team and be a part of working with and for some amazing young people and families, working across LSH Central, our Independent Special School with young people in years 6-11.The Role
Working flexibly across LSH Central, our independent special school working with students 0-25 years old, commonly with complex SEND needs and/or lived experiences and/or high anxieties. Must be able to work flexibly to support our Outreach students, working in the home or out in the community.Working on a 1-1 and small group basis to engage, interact and motivate children, young people and adults to promote their; independence skills, life skills, confidence, social skills, engagement in the community, readiness for learning, transition onwards to their next provision, when required Forming an excellent rapport with students, families and professionals, attending multi agency meetings as required Completing paperwork such as provision reports, planning sheets, AQA evidence trackers and information on the student's individual file Be competent and comfortable being the lead practitioner for the student and undertaking planning and an understanding of the needs and next steps for the young personContributing ideas, passion and insights to the multi-disciplinary team Supporting students in high levels of distress and emotional de-regulationThe PersonAn all-round team player, contributing to the needs of the students, families, professionals and colleaguesConfident in their abilities to manage, support and progress next steps for students with a wide range of complex SEND needs and ages. Students will often present with high levels of anxieties and sometimes demonstrate risk taking behaviours so it is essential the practitioner can remain calm in heightened situations and manage situations effectively. Practitioners need to be resilient Feeling comfortable with asserting boundaries whilst providing a nurturing, person centred and relational approach Ability to drive & have access to your own vehicle - this role will involve visits in Hull & East Riding of Yorkshire (mileage reimbursed) Professional background with specialist knowledge is desirable Strong interest in wellbeing and developing life skills Shares the ethos and set up of Life Skills Hub Previous experience working with children/young people with complex SEND and anxieties Previous experience of a trauma informed approach is desirable Additional qualifications, CPD within teaching, learning, behaviour management, SEND, or counselling field is advantageous Willingness to learn, be curious, develop and contribute to the team Willingness to support Seniors in development of the allocated service(s) Personable, friendly, and hard working Strong communication and time management skills You must show demonstratable evidence in your application and at interview stage that you have experience working with children and young people The successful candidate(s) will be given an induction, support, supervision and access our CPD and training programme. This post is term time only, permanent & subject to a 6-month probation. Employees that are successfully appointed will be subject to reference checks, and a satisfactory enhanced DBS, and show photo ID they have the right to work within the UK.
