What skills and experience we're looking for

• Relevant degree (or equivalent)
• Qualified Teacher Status
• Has demonstrated successful and effective teaching of PE at KS3 and KS4
• Experience of teaching across the whole ability range of students
• Experience of teaching students with recognised SEN
• Willingness and ability to teach in another subject area
• Clear understanding of what makes excellent teaching
• Clear understanding of how to accurately assess student progress
• Clear understanding of how to meet the needs of all students
• Clear understanding of current developments & initiatives in the development of the subject across KS3 & KS4
• Ability to use ICT effectively for teaching where appropriate and in the production of teaching resources
• Ability to use data to monitor, evaluate and review.
• A passion to make a difference to young people’s lives through education
• Ability to motivate and form effective relationships with staff and students
• Enthusiastic, resilient & solution focused
• An effective team member, who works well with other people
• Effective use of initiative and organisation skills
