Clare House School Porthcawl is seeking to appoint a caring and nurturing Teaching and Learning Support practitioner to join our founding team. This is an opportunity to help create a new school community from the very beginning, supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 within an environment where every child is celebrated, known and encouraged to thrive.Please read the recruitment pack in the Supporting Documents tab before applying.Role overviewSupport children’s learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 through experiential, transdisciplinary project-based and child-centred approachesWork with individuals and small groups to support progress across literacy, numeracy and the wider curriculumExtend children’s learning through purposeful interaction, questioning, modelling and dialogueSupport children’s social, emotional and personal development through strong relationships and consistent supportContribute to the creation of calm, purposeful and engaging learning environmentsObserve learning and contribute to discussions around pupil progress and next stepsWork collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider school communityRequirementsA good standard of general education, including A Levels or equivalentStrong understanding of how children learn and develop across the primary phaseCommitment to creating inclusive, relational and child-centred learning environmentsAbility to support learning through observation, interaction and reflective practiceConfidence working collaboratively as part of a growing and values-led teamUnderstanding of safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to pupil wellbeingWhy join us?You will have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of a new and ambitious school community where relationships, care and meaningful learning are central to everyday practice.
