Anglian Learning is a successful multi-academy trust in East Anglian responsible for 22 schools educating over 11,000 pupils and employing more than 1,650 staff. We are seeking an experienced, proactive and people-focused HR Business Partner to join our Senior HR Team on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering a progressive people strategy across a growing and ambitious Trust.

You will work in close partnership with Headteachers, senior leaders and managers to provide expert HR support, influence strategic decision-making and ensure the effective management, development and wellbeing of our workforce.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about organisational development and employee engagement, and has strong experience managing complex employee relations matters and change programmes.

What the school offers its staff

As HR Business Partner, you will:

• Partner with schools and leaders to deliver the Trust’s people strategy and workforce plans
• Provide expert advice on employee relations, workforce planning, organisational change and employment law
• Support school improvement through effective people management and HR best practice
• Lead and manage complex employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, safeguarding and capability matters
• Act as the Trust lead for ACAS early conciliation and Employment Tribunal claims
• Support workforce modernisation, restructuring, TUPE transfers and organisational change projects
• Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across the Trust
• Lead on pay, reward and annual pay review processes within your designated areas
• Develop and implement learning, development and apprenticeship strategies
• Support staff wellbeing and employee engagement initiatives
• Contribute to Trust-wide HR projects, policy development and strategic initiatives
• Support the implementation and development of digital HR systems and processes
• Deputise for the Head of HR Business Partnering and Operations when required
