Key duties are: To provide specialist psychological & neuropsychological assessments of clients referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources. To formulate and evaluate treatment options in a neurorehabilitation context taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning illness, historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group. To select and deliver evidence-based specialist psychological treatments and rehabilitation interventions. To use assessment findings and specialist knowledge to provide neuropsychological and psychological guidance and consultation to facilitate the effective and appropriate provision of psychological care by all members of the MDT. To support and enable all staff working in the wider Neurorehabilitation Service to better meet the needs of complex neurological clients with psychological, cognitive, mental health or behavioural problems through CPD initiatives and consultation guidance where there may be issues of risk.
