Asset Management Surveyor - SPN

Join UK Power Networks in Crawley and help shape essential infrastructure projects across SPN.

If you are an experienced property or consents professional looking for a high-impact role, this is your opportunity to take the lead on land and statutory consents that support major customer and asset management schemes. Working within our Asset Management directorate, you will play a key role in securing, protecting and managing the property rights needed to deliver and safeguard critical electricity infrastructure.

Salary: £68,144 plus 3% bonus
Location: Crawley
Contract: Permanent
Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote after probation

You will work on varied and complex projects involving freehold and leasehold acquisitions, easements, wayleaves, compensation matters and third-party negotiations. This is a visible role where your expertise will influence project delivery, legal strategy, stakeholder relationships and business risk management across a defined geographical area.

Alongside a competitive salary, we offer a strong benefits package designed to support your wellbeing, finances and work-life balance.

  • 25 Days Annual Leave plus bank holidays.
  • Reservist Leave - Additional 18 days full pay and 22 unpaid
  • Personal Pension Plan - Personal contribution rates of 4% or 5% (UK Power Networks will make a corresponding contribution of 8% or 10%)
  • Tenancy Loan Deposit Scheme, Season Ticket Loan
  • Tax efficient benefits: Cycle to Work, Home & Tech, and Green Car Leasing Schemes
  • Occupational Health support
  • Switched On - scheme providing discount on hundreds of retailers' products

You will bring strong experience in operational property, consents, wayleaves or land rights, with the confidence to manage complex negotiations and work effectively with customers, landowners, agents, solicitors, contractors and senior internal stakeholders. You may be RICS qualified, HNC qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent technical knowledge and experience. Just as importantly, you will be commercially aware, confident handling complexity and conflict, and motivated by the chance to make a real impact in a highly regulated infrastructure environment.
