Engineer/Senior Engineer Civils
Role Description
The Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing civil engineering design projects, working alongside civil engineers and technicians producing infrastructure designs for large-scale development projects, comprising of:
• Production of flood risk and drainage assessments, liaising with stakeholders, and supporting planning applications.
• Designing and preparing highway designs, including horizontal and vertical geometry for agreement under Section 38 or 278.
• Production of drainage designs for both foul and surface water networks for agreement under Sections 104 or 106.
• Detailed design and modelling of sustainable drainage systems.
• Preparation of 3D ground models and cut and fill exercises.
• Preparation of external works and private drainage designs.
• Liaise with clients and external agencies such as Lead local flood authorities, the environment agency, local highway authorities, and water authorities.
• Represent the company at meetings.
• Help support the training and professional development of team members.
• Ensure communication with directors to meet client requirements and deadlines and work collaboratively with other team members.
• Undertake further professional development following the business development plan.
Skills and Experience
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in consulting.
• Must have experience in residential infrastructure.
• Software experience in AutoCAD, Microdrainage or Causeway Flow is essential.
• Experience using infrastructure design software is essential, experience using Site 3D design software is desirable.
• Experience with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Traffic Signs Manual.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to deliver projects from conception to completion while proficiently communicating and liaising with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage time within project budgets.

Salary competitive negotiable on experience.
One day work from home after probation period.
