Qualifications and Training Full UK Registration with General Medical Council and licensed to practice or eligible if currently working overseas On Paediatric Surgery Specialist Register or eligible for this within 6 months of starting the job. Possession of APLS/PALS Experience Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients including major trauma and general paediatric surgery emergency. Knowledge Understanding of the principles of management Broad knowledge of speciality Willingness to contribute to research activity within the department Knowledge and understanding of child safeguarding Skills Ability to write and implement management protocols Ability to organise and manage Personal Ability to work in a multi disciplinary team Willingness to form links within and outside the region Ability to maintain professionalism Good interpersonal skills Caring attitude to patients and carers Good ability to communicate Commitment to continuing medical education Flexible approach Commitment to specialty Teaching and Research Ability to organised undergraduate teaching
