Summary

Job Title: Production Operative (Machine Operative)

Location: Aldridge, Walsall

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Shift Pattern: 12-hour days, 6am-6pm | 4 on / 4 off

Job Type: Ongoing work for the right candidate

We're recruiting Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing site in Aldridge, Walsall, producing products for the construction industry. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills running and maintaining machinery, with training provided as you settle into the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning to operate, run and maintain production machines
  • Loading machines with materials/components
  • Machine minding and monitoring output to ensure smooth running
  • Feeding raw materials into machinery safely and efficiently
  • Carrying out basic checks and reporting any faults or issues
  • Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Basic machine minding experience is essential
  • You must have previously worked in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
  • Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and following site processes
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

PPE Requirement (Mandatory)

Full PPE must be worn on site at all times, including:

  • Hard hat
  • Hi-vis trousers and coat
  • Safety glasses
  • Ear protectors
