We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver/Operative (Grade 4) to join our Building Services & Maintenance team. This vital role is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel to various job sites, supporting the day-to-day operations of our maintenance and building services departments. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to health and safety regulations, and the ability to assist with general maintenance tasks as required. You will play a key role in ensuring that all operational activities run smoothly and on schedule, contributing to the overall productivity of the team. Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, tools, and personnel to designated locations on time.
Assist in loading and unloading construction and maintenance equipment and materials.
Support the maintenance team with general operative duties including site preparation and clean-up.
Ensure all vehicles and equipment are maintained in good working order and report any faults promptly.
Adhere strictly to all health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
Maintain accurate records of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle checks as required by company standards.
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
Assist with the setup and dismantling of site equipment when necessary.
Requirements
Valid full UK driving license with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a driver or operative in building services or maintenance preferred.
Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle maintenance procedures.
Ability to follow health and safety protocols rigorously.
Physically fit to assist with manual handling and site duties.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently when required.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing job requirements.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £13.26
