The Role
The role will involve delivery of quality education, training and support to a range of students 16+
We deliver across multiple areas within the construction sector, using a range of awarding organisations and we are looking to
expand our curriculum offer to meet industry needs both locally and nationally.
Teaching experience/possession of a teaching qualification and assessor award would be advantageous but not essential as training
will be provided to the correct applicant. It is our vision for this new member of the team to enhance our current delivery and
contribute towards developing a curriculum that meets the needs of our local employers.
Main Duties for this role include
* Plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate College format to ensure effective
learning.
* Assess accurately learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners
achieve their qualifications.
* Comply with all College quality assurance procedures as prescribed by the Deputy Principal to ensure the achievement of all
internal and external audits.
* Thoroughly prepare suitable teaching, learning and assessment materials for a range of courses/classes and make use of a
variety and appropriate learning and teaching methods.
* Have available an up-to-date syllabus and scheme of work (showing methods of delivery and embedded cross-cutting themes) for
each course/class taught.
