Summary
We are a well‑established Leeds law firm seeking a confident, organised, and client‑focused Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice. This role is central to ensuring a professional first impression for clients, visitors, and callers, while providing essential administrative support to our legal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Front‑of‑house management — greeting clients and visitors warmly, ensuring they feel supported and directed appropriately.
Telephone handling — answering incoming calls promptly, managing enquiries, and transferring calls to the appropriate departments.
Appointment coordination — managing meeting room bookings, maintaining the reception diary, and supporting solicitors with scheduling.
Client care — offering refreshments, maintaining a tidy reception area, and ensuring a calm, professional environment.
Administrative support — handling incoming and outgoing post, scanning, photocopying, filing, and assisting with document preparation.
Compliance awareness — following confidentiality protocols, GDPR requirements, and firm procedures at all times.
Liaison duties — coordinating with legal secretaries, fee‑earners, and external service providers as needed.
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in a reception or front‑of‑house role, ideally within a professional services environment (legal, financial, medical, etc.).
Excellent communication skills, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
Strong organisation and multitasking abilities, with a calm approach under pressure.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence using case management or booking systems.
A professional, polished manner with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
High attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
