Key Responsibilities:
✨ Learning & Development
• Plan and deliver inspiring, play based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress — celebrating every “I did it!” moment.
• Provide tailored support to meet individual needs, abilities, and interests.

Communication & Relationships
• Build warm, trusting relationships with children that support their emotional wellbeing.
• Form strong, positive partnerships with parents and carers — sharing updates, insights, and triumphs.
• Work collaboratively with the team to create a supportive and joyful environment.

️ Safety & Wellbeing
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning space at all times.
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and EYFS requirements with confidence and professionalism.
• Support children with personal care routines, promoting independence where appropriate.

Creativity & Environment
• Set up engaging activities, parental events, messy play sessions, and everything in between.
• Help maintain high-quality learning areas indoors and outdoors.
• Bring fresh ideas to enhance learning experiences and nursery events.

Teamwork
• Contribute to planning meetings and shared decision-making.
• Support colleagues, celebrate successes, and help keep the nursery running smoothly.
• Participate in training to keep your practice exciting and up to date.

Safeguarding:
At our nursery, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. We follow robust safeguarding procedures in line with current legislation and local guidance. Staff are regularly trained to recognise and respond to signs of all forms of neglect, abuse, extremism and exploitation. Safeguarding is central to everything we do, and safeguarding is the responsibility of every member of our team. We operate strict safer recruitment processes, including enhanced criminal record checks, references, and qualification verification, to ensure all staff are suitable to work with children. We work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure every child is safe, supported, and protected.

• Uphold the nursery’s safeguarding policies in line with OFSTED guidance.
• Report concerns promptly the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
• An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is an essential requirement for this role.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation (e.g., Working Together to Safeguard Children).
• Awareness of confidentiality, information sharing and data protection in safeguarding contexts.
