Crynodeb
The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational management and delivery of Immunisation and Sexual Health services, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality service provision. This includes coordinating workforce, clinics and resources to meet demand, while monitoring performance and implementing actions to achieve key targets. The post holder provides operational leadership to administrative and support staff, overseeing performance management, staff development and workforce processes such as recruitment, absence and rota management. They analyse service activity and data to identify risks, drive improvements and support effective decision making. The role contributes to service planning, development and the implementation of new ways of working, ensuring alignment with organisational and national priorities. The post holder also manages incidents, complaints and risks, ensuring appropriate escalation and learning, and maintains strong communication with teams and stakeholders. Working autonomously, the post holder exercises judgement in resolving operational issues, supports governance and compliance, and deputises for senior operational leads where required to maintain service resilience.
