Crynodeb
Job Purpose
To lead and manage a designated nursery room, ensuring high standards of care, learning, safeguarding, and wellbeing for all children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). To support staff, build positive relationships with parents, and create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
Childcare and Learning
Provide high-quality care and education for children aged within the room.
Plan and implement activities in line with the EYFS framework.
Observe, assess, and record children’s development and progress.
Support children’s emotional well-being, independence, and confidence.
Ensure activities are inclusive and meet individual needs.
Promote positive behaviour using appropriate strategies.
Room Management
Lead and support the room staff on a daily basis.
Delegate responsibilities fairly and effectively.
Ensure staff ratios are maintained at all times.
Organise the room environment to be safe, welcoming, and engaging.
Monitor resources and equipment and report any concerns.
Parent Partnerships
Build positive and professional relationships with parents/carers.
Provide regular feedback regarding children’s progress and well-being.
Support settling-in sessions and transitions.
Address parent concerns professionally and escalate where necessary.
