About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and nurturing Level 3 Early Years Educator to join a welcoming nursery within the Petts Wood / Orpington area, working in the Baby Room.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who has a genuine passion for working with babies aged 0–2 years and is looking to join a supportive and high-quality nursery environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a safe, caring, and stimulating environment that supports babies through the earliest stages of their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

As a Baby Room Early Years Educator, you will:

• Provide high-quality care and learning experiences for babies aged 0–2 years in line with the EYFS framework
• Support babies’ emotional, physical, and developmental needs through nurturing interactions and play
• Plan and engage in sensory and age-appropriate activities that encourage early development
• Follow babies’ individual routines, including feeding, sleeping, and nappy changing
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating baby room environment
• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and developmental milestones
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates and feedback
• Follow safeguarding, health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare
• Previous experience working within a baby room or early years setting
• A warm, caring, and patient nature with a genuine passion for working with babies
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and child development for under 2s
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
