Crynodeb
Residential Support Worker (Driver)
Provide care and support for people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and associated behaviours, promoting independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion in line with ordinary life principles. Support daily living, social activities, learning, trips, and holidays while ensuring individual needs are met through care planning and person-centred support. May be required to oversee the service in the absence of Senior staff or Managers.
Key Skills & Requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of Autism, learning disabilities, and vulnerable adults’ support needs
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Honest, reliable, flexible, and committed to equality and diversity
Willingness to complete mandatory training and development
Full UK driving licence with willingness to use own car and drive a minibus
Literacy Level 2 to complete reports and medication records
Main Responsibilities
Support service users with personal care, health needs, communication, decision-making, and daily activities
Implement care plans and contribute to reviews and assessments
Act as Key Worker for designated individuals
Promote independence, choice, dignity, and positive behaviour support
Administer medication following training and company procedures
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff, families, and professionals
Encourage safe hygiene practices and maintain service users’ belongings
Participate in meetings, training, and quality audits
Follow health & safety, safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection procedures
Report incidents, hazards, illnesses, or maintenance issues promptly
Assist with administrative tasks and maintain a welcoming environment
Uphold the reputation and policies of Fairfield Residential and Fairfield Care Ltd
